Title: Just For Now(Escape to New Zealand #3)
Author: Rosalind James
Date Published: 8/30/2012
There’s no place like home . . .
For teacher Jenna McKnight, nothing spells “heartbreak” like finding her husband with somebody else–in her bed. Clearly, it’s time to reinvent herself. A new body, a new city, and a new job later, she’s done just that. This isn’t really her home, though. Or her family, however much she wishes it were. And playing house can be a dangerous game.
New Zealand rugby star Finn Douglas is just looking for a temporary nanny. Not a girlfriend, and definitely not a wife. He can’t resist Jenna’s cooking, it’s true. Who knew that he’d have so much trouble resisting her? He wants to do what’s right for his kids. But waiting is so hard . . .
I absolutely loved this book! For starters I’m an AB (All Blacks) Fan… Like Hard Core Rugby fan! New acquired fan status of course, but I have been watching for about two years now… Before I go into how amazing this book is… Let me introduce you to the All Blacks Haka… You aren’t going to want to miss this, because these footy players are all that and a bag of chips! WORD!
Trust me this will give you mad goose bumps just watching these men do their thing!
Okay back to my review… you ladies feeling it yet? Cause I was! Okay I’ve been on a contemporary kick as of late and when I fist saw this cover… I will say I have no clue what the cover had to do with the story. Seriously! Dude like to eat chocolate cake and I can’t recall her making cupcakes. Although she made a whole host of other goodies. Don’t let the cover fool you! Please! If you are like me and literally judge a book by its cover and your looking for a nice romance the books cover will throw you off. Let me paint you a true picture of what the cover should have looked like.
All body…. Hard sculpted muscles of just Rugby profession! YUM! When I think of the hero…. I can picture a few rugby players that come to mind… Daniel Conn, and yes I know he doesn’t play for New Zealand but have you seen his rockin hawt body? If not be sure to look that one. He will have you drooling!
Just so you know I like both the All Blacks and the Maori All Blacks! Cuz yo! Those guys rule the school as well. But when I thought of Finn I pictured an actual AB member, I mean how could you not? I thought of Cory James.. He’s not a hawty by nature but I could so picture him in the roll of Finn!
Okay on to the review…
Finn doesn’t want or need to a relationship, he’s been hurt before. But in comes the school teacher Jenna and then things start going wonky from the start. She’s there the kids, and only his kids at least that what she keeps telling herself. She’s getting over something that, if you read the book will leave you gasping when you finally figure out what it is that happened in her relationship. Jenna use to be a little over weight, although I like to call us big boned girls that we are fluffy. Any who.. She’s changed and she’s taking a year off from teaching to get herself together. So she decides to become a nanny. A nanny to Finn’s kids. His a famous rugby player and although he’s not a looker, he’s a looker. Who doesn’t like men who play real men sports and get battered? I sure do!
It’s a great story and I read this in one sitting. Reading about the two of them floundering around their want for each other and then book it takes off from there. Everything leading up to the relationship was great! The tension the house play all of it! You won’t be disappointed when you read this book! James does an excellent job! I loved all the local language and sayings! It was great!
Be sure to check out what everyone else thinks of the book as well!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! So glad you feel the same way about rugby players that I do! (Book 2, "Just Good Friends," features a Maori player for extra yumminess.)
ReplyDeleteAnd I should tell you that Book 1, "Just This Once," is FREE for the Kindle today! Last day of its promotion, so get it now--It's #4 in the Kindle store now after being #1 for 3 days--super exciting! (All four books are also available in paperback.)
And thanks to "Siren," who reviewed that book for your blog and suggested I put in a Kiwi glossary--done in all four books!
Oh and you can find a video of the haka on the homepage of my website (just click on my name above this comment). Because, hmmm, yeah . . . [sighs]
